Elliena Ingraham
I am a student at Louisiana State University graduating in May of 2026 with a degree in Human Development and Family Science with a concentration in Child Life and a minor in Sociology. I have a passion for ensuring children and families are supported through highly stressful and traumatic events, such as hospitalization, regardless of their socioeconomic status, appearance, or beliefs. My passion has led me to pursue a career as a Certified Child Life Specialist. When not volunteering or in the classroom, I enjoy Pilates, embroidery, painting, and crocheting!

Human Development and Family Science - Concentration Child Life, Sociology Minor

Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA
In May of 2026, I will graduate from LSU with a degree in Human Development and Family Science with a Concentration in Child Life and minor in Sociology. Human Development and Family Science is an interdisciplinary degree program meant to provide a broad basis on how humans develop socially, emotionally, and physically across their lifespan through a family-centered lens. The Child Life concentration includes courses taught by a Certified Child Life Specialist to provide the necessary knowledge base of child life theory and practice for those pursuing a career in Child Life. Within my minor, I focused on studying the sociology of crime, the criminal justice system, and medicine to provide a larger knowledge base to enrich my work with vulnerable populations.
